I've always had the need to make things and my Scandinavian heritage has always pushed towards strong and silent designs. A practical Canadian upbringing in a family of creative and self-reliant loggers and fishermen, prepared me well to work with clay, silver, and fire to create these works.
There has always been a burning desire to learn new skills, and once a task has been mastered, I like to move on and try something new. Hence, you won't find many collections in my work. There are many "one of" pieces, and if I do repeat things, its always with the idea of modifying or improving on the last series. This is the only way I can keep my interest, and I hope yours too.
